Online Store FAQ

Please send an email to orders@blackplaguebrewing.com with details about the item(s) that need to be returned. If there is any issues with the item(s), please let us know. 

Please note: We do not issue returns for beer or gift cards.

To return the item after sending the email, please send your package to the attention "ATTN: Online Shop" at 2550 Jason Court, Oceanside, CA 92084

Once the item is received, it will be inspected and you will be notified of the return status. 

If you place an order online for pickup at the taproom, we kindly ask that you pick it up within a 30-day time frame during our taproom hours.

Please keep the following in mind:

1. We can only hold beer for 30 days after which we will be required to dispose of the beer with no refund if not picked up during the designated time frame. 

2. Crowlers are generally "fresh" for 1-2 weeks depending on the style of beer. We highly recommend picking up your crowlers as soon as possible. Please be aware of a crowers shelf life. We cannot refund crowlers due to this reason and also as they are made to order. 

3. At a maximum - we can only hold merchandise orders for 90 days. If a merchandise order has not been picked up within the 90-day time frame - the order will be restocked with a 7% restocking fee. The remaining total paid for the order minus the 7% fee will be refunded to the customer.

BLACK PLAGUE ships out orders twice a week: Monday - Friday. After your payment is verified, it takes up to 72 hours to process and ship your order. This does not include weekends or holidays. Orders placed after 9am PST will likely be shipped out the following packing day (due to courier pickup times). Purchases made after 9am PST on a Friday will likely be shipped out on the following week on the next packing day. No packages will be shipped out on holidays. 

Notice: Please anticipate some possible shipping delays due to COVID-19. As well as expect some delays during the busy holiday season as we are still a small team hustling to get it all done on time. We will do our best to get your orders shipped as soon as possible. 

We appreciate everyone that orders from us, and will do our best to get your order shipped out as fast as possible.

Please note that only USPS can ship to P.O. boxes - all other shipping couriers (UPS & Fedex) cannot ship to a P.O. box. If the wrong shipping method is selected this will delay you order and potenitally be a higher cost for shipping. 

For beer shipping in CA & NV we use General Logistics Services (GLS) for our shipping courier. (Please note that GLS only delivers to the metro part fo NV after which everywhere else in NV will be shipped using UPS). For AK, OH, VT, & Washington D.C. we use United Parcel Service (UPS) for our shipping courier. Through them we offer multiple shipping services including expedited ground shipping. Orders will normally take 2-7 business days depending on the service selected, to arrive once they have been shipped out of our warehouse.

This does not include weekends or holidays. Orders placed after 7am PST will likely be shipped out the following packing day (due to courier pickup times). Purchases made after 7am PST on a Friday will likely be shipped out on the following week on the next packing day.

If you’re looking to return or exchange your order for whatever reason, we're here to help! You can return your product for store credit, a different product, or a refund to the original payment method.

In most cases, as long as the item is "like new" and not damaged, we can accept your request to return the item(s). Please note the following exceptions to our return and exchange policy:

  • Below are some examples of common exceptions. 
  • Discounted items are final and cannot be returned or exchanged
  • Returned items must have tags still on and be returned in original packaging
  • Returned items must have no visible signs of wear or use
  • Gift cards cannot be returned (if there is an issue please reach out to our team directly at orders@blackplaguebrewing.com)
  • Beer cannot be returned (if there is an issue please reach out to our team directly at Orders@BlackPlagueBrewing.com)

To initiate a return or exchange, please complete the following steps:

  • In order to request a return / refund, please send an email to Orders@BlackPlagueBrewing.com with specific details about your request. 
  • Our E-commerce Team will follow up and review your request. 

Additional information:

  • Once your item is received, it can take up to 1 week for it to be processed.
  • Return shipping is at the customer's expense (unless otherwise stated by BLACK PLAGUE).
  • Return duties are at the customer's expense (unless otherwise stated by BLACK PLAGUE). 
  • We do not charge any restocking fees.
  • If items are lost or damaged, we cannot offer store credit or refunds.
  • If items are rejected or are "returned to sender", we cannot offer store credit or refunds.
